This has to be seen in the context of the company’s
broad strategy of Black Economic Empowerment since
the holding company is a BEE, JSE listed company.

The company is 70% Black
owned and managed. In terms of company policy with
reference
to previously disadvantaged individuals (PDIs), a minimum representative level
of 75% of the
total personnel complement will be maintained at all times.

This BEE company is premised on an active
participative empowerment initiative of which 95%
are PDIs.

Our Employment Equity Report and Plan,
acknowledged by the Department of
Labour, entrenches and advances employee rights and development.

Our Skills Development Plan (developed
and actioned by our Skills Development
Committee) is focused on employee development and promotion.

a Quality Management System, is supplemented
by in-service training and upgrading courses.
